Ventilation & MVHR

Ventilation and MVHR for properly renewed air

Effective ventilation clears out damp and stale air while keeping indoor air renewed on a regular basis. VOLK BÂTIMENT installs, replaces, services and repairs ventilation systems in homes and business premises.

Systems

Single-flow ventilation or dual-flow MVHR

Mechanical ventilation unit installed in a technical ceiling in a room

Single-flow ventilation

It extracts air from wet rooms and draws fresh air into living spaces. Its simplicity makes it a common solution in homes.

Dual-flow MVHR unit installed beneath the roof frame

Dual-flow MVHR

It handles both the extraction of stale air and the supply of fresh air through a dedicated network. The project needs more space and a more thorough design of the ductwork.

The ductwork matters as much as the unit

Poorly distributed ventilation can lose efficiency or become noisy. The duct routing, sizing, grilles, available passageways and access for maintenance all need to be planned before installation.

Ventilation and interior renovation

A renovation is often the right time to reconsider ventilation. Planning the ductwork before a ceiling or wall lining is closed up avoids having to reopen surfaces that have only just been finished. The choice between single-flow and dual-flow can then be studied before work begins on site.

Diagnosis

When should a system be checked?

Persistent humidity, condensation, unusual noise, weak extraction or no perceptible airflow can justify an inspection. A diagnosis should come before automatically replacing the equipment.

Homes & premises

Homes and professional premises

Needs vary according to the type of building, the rooms involved and how they are occupied. Ventilating a bathroom in a home is not the same as a network serving several zones of a business premises.
